Palti stepped down as Ministry of Protection political-armed service bureau chief two months back and is now an Intercontinental Fellow at the Washington Institute. As political-army bureau chief since 2017, he was in the internal-circle of decision makers and was aware of contacts with nations around the world with which Israel did not have diplomatic relations.

Reacting to Palti’s feedback, a senior Saudi resource explained to “Globes,” “Israel is normally in a hurry. It will materialize when the circumstances are appropriate.
